Thanks. No, it does not happen automatically. You will have to transfer the Isk you received for the sale manually from the sold character to any other character in your possession prior to starting the transfer. The reason is that characters that are in the transferring process are unplayable, so you will not have access to it.
In the unfortunate event that you already started the transfer but forgot to transfer the Isk first, ask the buyer to return the Isk to you asap.
If the buyer refuses or does not reply to your request, file a support ticket. In that case a GM will transfer the Isk back to you.
